The Path to City Head
How the City Head selection process actually works -- and why it's a pitch you initiate, not a promotion you wait for.
After becoming an Associate and being assigned to your home territory, you become eligible for the next step: the selection process for City Head of the region you're strongest in. This is worth saying plainly, because it surprises people used to traditional promotion tracks: City Head is not assigned from above, and it is not based on tenure. Nobody is going to notice you've been an Associate for a while and offer you the role. You initiate it, when you're ready, by requesting the pitch.
The selection is based on four things. First, how well you understand the FMC program overall -- not just your own earning path, but the private sector, TsuperHero®, and how the whole Network fits together (this is exactly why the earlier lessons in this Academy cover both sides in depth, not just the one you personally focus on). Second, the pitch of your strategy for the specific city or territory you're proposing to lead -- a real plan, not a general statement of enthusiasm. Third, your proven capability -- your actual track record as an Associate, the sales and TsuperHero® activity you've genuinely generated, not a hypothetical. Fourth, teamwork -- since a City Head coordinates and supports every Associate operating in their territory, not just their own individual numbers.
Concretely, that means the strongest pitches come from Associates who've been genuinely active on both the private and public sector sides, who can speak specifically about their own territory's opportunities (not generic talking points), and who have real, referenceable interactions with other Associates or stakeholders in that territory that demonstrate they can lead, not just sell.
When you're ready, you initiate the pitch scheduling yourself. There's no fixed timeline you're required to wait out first -- readiness is about your own preparation and track record, not a clock.
