Thank you Pinky Webb for mentioning Francisco Motors. Obvious naman na Francisco Motors yung tinutukoy ni DOTr Sec Jimmy Baustista but we also understand that as a government official in the executive branch, he may not officially endorse a particular brand maski sa loob-loob nya ay gustung-gusto nya nang sabihin and we can hear the sense of nationalism in his voice that if only he could say it, he will endorse local manufacturers and the only real choice is Francisco Motors with the most affordable price and superior technology even over the foreign brands.
In fact, that's more or less 1,300 and counting at may meeting ulit ang grupo sa Alabang-Sucat-Baclaran naman ngayon araw ng Linggo. We are seeing that our superHero Program will reach over 20,000 jeepneys even before the April 30, 2024 deadline because we have a much more acceptable agreement for our jeepney operators that protects their interests compared to the straight forward and flawed consolidation that LTFRB is pushing.
For the record, our stand is still to make the industry consolidation OPTIONAL meaning those who see the benefits of consolidating with cooperatives and corporation may do so but don't force those who can modernized their own Jeepneys as single operators of which we can help them modernize their jeepneys and efficiently manage their fleets. This was also what I have suggested to Speaker Martin Romualdez as the real solution to this problem of consolidation. 🇵ðŸ‡
