Francisco Motors Chairman Elmer Francisco announced on 7th of June plans to export its new electric AUV, the PINOY Transporter, to 13 African countries, starting with Nigeria. The vehicle, described as "equally classic and iconic," will be mass-produced at the company's special economic zone in Camarines Norte.

The PINOY Transporter boasts a 250km range on a full charge thanks to its LiFePO4 battery. It features an IP67 waterproof rating, three air conditioners (one dashboard, two overhead), a dial shifter, foot parking brake, an electronic front passenger-side door, rear emergency door with PWD access, an LED visor signboard, all-LED lighting, a panoramic windshield, sliding windows, and a full digital instrument panel integrated with a multimedia system.

Further features include the JEEPNEY.io Fleet Management and Payment System, a 4-channel CCTV system, a Global Navigation Satellite System, USB charging ports, and a capacity for 20 seated and 10 standing passengers. Mr. Francisco commented on the vehicle's design, stating that the comparisons to AI-generated imagery are "both funny and flattering," highlighting the vehicle's modern design and durability.
The company's expansion into the African market represents a significant step for Francisco Motors, showcasing the growing demand for sustainable and technologically advanced transportation solutions globally. The export initiative is expected to create jobs and boost the Philippine economy.
